Superdry and Timothy Everest Capsule Collection

Contemporary British tailor Timothy Everest has designed a capsule collection of wardrobe staples exclusively for Superdry.
The launch range has been devised with four key characters in mind:

The Country Rebel- Rock and Roll meets classic tweed with a Jarvis Cocker cut.

Single breasted five button suit jacket with swelled edge peak lapels. Chest pocket bag doubles up as a pull-up handkerchief. Patch pockets have feature flaps. Back strap and adjusters allow the jacket to be worn fitted or relaxed. Available in forest green slub and dark grey fishbone.

The San Fanciscan – West Coast ‘Bullitt’ wools and Robert Redford cop casual cut a laid-back silhouette.

Single breasted in heavy unlined wool with fully bound colour inner seams and swelled edge peal lapels. Contrasting heaving felt under the collar with signature double branding and hand stitch detailing.  Available in black and white super optical, navy dogtooth, grey herringbone and barleycorn.

The Super Spy- Sean Connery meets ‘In Like Flint’

Sleek silhouette low cut single breasted jacket with peak lapels in black luxe sateen. Has an internal tech pocket and specially crafted loops for earphone cords. Under the lapels is a label and rivet signature double identity only visible when the collar is worn up. Skinny leg trousers with buckle and side strap adjusters, razor sharp creases and a ‘secret’ pocket.  Seams in burgundy and gold.

Country Tweeds-the modern sports jacket

Adapted from the hacking jacket, the modern sports jacket has longer lapels with either one or two buttons. The flapped pockets may or may not be slanted, and it usually has side vents for easy access to trouser back pockets. By the early 1900s it became fashionable for men to wear sports jackets at the more casual social functions rather than just keep them for sporting activities, and the jackets began to have a simpler cut losing the more practical sporting features such as the belt and bulky pockets.

Larger guys (tall or in weight) should go for the plainer tweeds or the larger checks in keeping with their frame such as this Lomond tweed. The smaller checks will just make you look larger than you are.

Tweed textures

Thick and hairy or smooth and silky? No I’m not talking about whether to shave or not, but tweed fabrics!
