Italian inspired twisted yarns and blended Jaspe yarns are
used to create a mix of modern yet classic British tweed and micro-checks with
a salt and pepper colour base that’s infused with highlights of mustard and
Chianti.
Tartan is prominent and the Blackwatch and Lindsay tartans
have been modernised to include an antique finish with flamboyant faux pony
hair trimmings ( check the collar).
Also inspired by Pre-Raphaelite painters and dark Art
Nouveau interiors, the collection features opulent and luxurious fabrics in the
form of velvet and smooth satin, infused with dark teal and navy with a hint of
burnished gold.
A quirky touch for the shirt prints includes the fox, also Paul Costelloe's logo.
Some of the AW14 collection will be available in the summer at www.houseoffraser.co.uk
