This Summer Make Threads Not War, with the limited edition Lynx Peace T-Shirt Collection

As part of the Make Love Not War campaign, Lynx has teamed up with five emerging designers to create a limited edition range of Peace inspired t-shirts collectively called Make Threads Not War.
This collection will be sold exclusively on ASOS to show support for global organisation Peace One Day, the organisers of World Peace One Day which is marked on 21st Sept each year.
The t-shirts will be available from 6th May at £10 each while stocks last.
All Proceeds from the Lynx Peace collection will go to Peace One Day
The designers, all chosen for their individual artistic flair, are:

Creative group Bread Collective: Make Love Not War

Speaking of their ‘Make Love Not War’ design, Bread Collective say their design was inspired by protest signs and peaceful protests.

Mat Pringle: Yang and Yin
The inspiration comes from looking at definitive symbols of peace.

Ruby Taylor: Ten Doves One Heart

The graphic stems from Ruby’s love of creating patterns and using archetypal imagery. Ruby says ‘I Love the fact that the t-shirt has a classic display of patterns, looking pretty on the outside, but with further analysis of the symbols, you can see a deeper hidden meaning.
McBess: The Machine Rolls

The striking guitar image is the centre piece. McBess says ‘I thought the guitar could be a novel symbol of peace- it’s a tool to appease the mind and music brings people together’
Steve Wilson: New Horizons

Steve says ‘I chose to use the iconic CND symbol in place of the sun within a landscape design. I wanted to evoke the feeling of peace felt when surrounded by the natural world and the optimism that a new dawn brings.’

Karl Lagerfeld - new men's fragrance

Karl Lagerfeld has brought out two new fragrances: one for men and one for women.

The men's fragrance is an aromatic fern created by perfumer Jean-Christophe Jerault
Top notes of lavender and mandarin zest
Heart of crisp apple and violet leaves
Base notes of sandalwood and amber
EDT 100ml £52; 50ml £42 and 30ml £33
The contemporary designs of both bottles are geometrically exact and emulating the collar of Karl’s favourite shirts is a large metal ring that sits beneath the caps. The bottles come in an embossed box that echoes the metal ring. Using white for the women’s fragrance and black for the men’s, each box is lined with the repeating tone on tone motif of Karl’s silhouette.

F&F Clothing for Men Autumn/Winter 2014 Fashion Show

Tesco’s F&F Clothing shows you don’t have to spend a lot to get the sartorial flair. Their AW14 menswear collection focuses on the importance of the coat. The peacoat is given a biker style touch with the addition of a side zip opening and leatherette sleeves.

Whilst the traditional peacoat style is sharper than ever before and updated with a new colour palette of cool silver grey and warm berry. Note the ankle zip openings on the smart carrot style trousers worn with the berry peacoat and the top image.

The bomber jacket is released as a wardrobe icon tailored to be worn both smart and casual. Here the window pane bomber is teamed with classic pin stripe trousers and waistcoat whilst the deep red velvet tie and animal print shirt keep it from looking conservative.

For the smart casual look, the thicker blue check bomber is teamed with blue floral tie and animal print shirt.

Texture and layering is key with cable jumpers worn with waxy jeans, printed shirts and tailored jackets.

Also key is the eclectic mix of patterns. An oversized Prince of Wales check car coat is matched with a floral shirt and a pair of self stripe trousers.

Traditional tailoring techniques create razor sharp suits that maintain a slim silhouette. Worn with bold shirts in either block colours, graphic or floral prints; plain ties in leatherette or velvet fabric, and floral ties to give a new dimension to formalwear.

Heritage patterns such as herringbone and hounds tooth are updated by playing with scale and colour.  Here the suit is worn with berry shirt in an oversized hounds tooth print.

The collection will be available soon in selected Tesco stores and online www.F-F.com
