Tonsure AW17 Collection at London Fashion Week Mens



Designer Malte Flagstad draws inspiration from 1980's New York and focuses on fabrics and textures associated from jersey, wool and leather.


Supported by The Woolmark Company. the collection is predominantly made from Merino wool.

The wool fabric is constructed to resemble various shades of classic grey melange jersey and a classic wool motif such as herringbone is given the appearance of melange jersey in collaboration with Lanifico Subalpino.



Wardrobe staples such as  shirts and t-shirts are made have knitted wool panels.
An exclusive nylon print was developed with Limonta which features the classic Prince of Wales check that has been highlighted to become a new check pattern resembling wool.

PUBLIC SCHOOL wins 2014/2015 Inaugural men’s International Woolmark Prize

New York based clothing brand PUBLIC SCHOOL was announced the winner of the 2014/2015 International Woolmark Prize during the inaugural men’s award held on schedule at London Collections:Men.

PUBLIC SCHOOL ‘s merino wool collection was based on craftsmanship and showcased the natural characteristics of Merino wool. The designers explained:” It feels unbelievable to win the prize. Wea re the first US winners in the competition so we are really proud and it’s incredibly meaningful to us.”
The collection will be available globally from August 2015

International Woolmark Prize - Europe Nominee Announcement‏



The Woolmark Company is pleased to announce the European Nominees for the 2014/15 International Woolmark Prize, which has become one of the most truly coveted designer awards of our time.
For the first time, two designers will receive the overall award, one for menswear and one for womenswear.  For the UK the menswear nominee is AGi & Sam. Here's a peak at their sketch entry:


Five regional awards will be held in Asia, Australia, Europe, India (& Middle East) and USA to select the ten finalists, each receiving AUD$50,000 financial contribution towards their next collection as well as an invitation to participate in the international final.
The five menswear finalists will meet at London Collections: Men in January 2015 and the five womenswear finalists will meet in Beijing in March 2015.
