John Smedley’s archive providies rich inspiration with an Asian influence for the juxtaposition of fluidity within the collection, with the emblem of the season derived from an original watercolour of Japanese Koi. The watercolour itself brought to England by John Smedley ll in the 1930’s following his first trip to Japan.
