Belstaff launches the New Milford Coat for AW15‏

Belstaff, throughout its 91 years, has a long-standing history of producing iconic coat designs that stand the test of time.

The New Milford continues in this tradition, designed as the modernised version of the best-selling coat from previous seasons. Originally inspired by the ‘great coats’ from the archives dating back to the 1930s, this contemporary take on the overcoat has a structured collar, double-breasted fastening and tailored finish.

The traditional charcoal and black dog-toothed fabric is made relevant for the modern man through the use of a technical microporous membrane, creating breathable, water-repellent cashmere wool. The fabric does not alter its natural properties, ensuring a luxurious yet protective finish, ideal for the winter season.

This masculine style was first made popular when it was worn by Benedict Cumberbatch in the award-winning UK TV series ‘Sherlock’. The coat grew in popularity and became arguably the most recognised piece in the series. Due to the unprecedented interest in the style, Belstaff is launching the New Milford, available in stores and online now, October 2015.
Price £1350.00
