FRENCH CONNECTION LAUNCHES BLOCK SPORT

French Connection launches Block Sport, a capsule collection with a focus on transitioning from work to play. With a nod to the growth of uniformity, a series of easy to wear inter-matching separates in a clean palette of grey, white and blue make up this simple sports luxe silhouette.

 A grey sweatshirt captures the label's aesthetic brilliantly, crafted from cotton-jersey with an abstract orchid print.

 A short sleeved cotton collarless shirt is streamlined and understated while navy tracksuit bottoms are refined in soft cotton jersey with a relaxed straight leg fit. Smartened up with silver zip pockets and white racing stripes give a nod to sports luxe.

 Neon yellow piping and abstract graphics update a uniform of off-duty styles from simple to statement. Stripes are seen in neon and navy update a simple grey polo shirt, an embroidered F logo provides a simple uniform finishing stamp;

Men's Knitwear - The Preppy Look

The Preppy Look keeps coming in and out of fashion, but when it’s not in fashion, it’s still a classic. Here you can have chunky or fine knit, it just has to look smart and neat.
The cardigan is always a good choice. Team with lightweight chinos and deck shoes in the spring/summer and khakis and brogues in the autumn/winter.
Go for the polo shirt underneath.

French Connection’s Sunday Angora with its block colourways gets top marks for the ‘Preppy’ fine knit.

The Chunky Hunky Knits- This time the Cable Guys

The Cable Guys look hunky in the chunky knits, but more of a ‘geek’ look in the finer yarns.
French Connection

Both are a good trendy look, but if you’re going for the hunky look it has to be a chunky knit. This is good for the slimmer guys but for the more rounded guys -why add unnecessary bulk the cables will create?
Musto Summer coast knit- www.musto.com

So either go for a sweater which isn’t all cable stitch. Musto’s Summer Coast knit just has the cable stitch around the shoulders and upper arms, taking the bulk away from the tummy area and drawing the eye towards your shoulders. www.musto.com
Jackson jumper - www.qualityknitwear.co.uk

Or avoid the cable knits all together. Quality Knitwear’s khaki/orange Jackson jumper shows a hand knitted plain stocking stitch is just as effective. Price £60.www.qualityknitwear.co.uk
Ashton & Logan www.am-golhar.com
