Ralph Lauren Purple Label Spring 2016

Ralph Lauren Purple Label brings a sharp, modern edge to luxury menswear for Spring 2016, with bold colour combinations, new fabrications and innovative technical treatments.

Purple Label tailored clothing crafts an elegant masculine glamour with black-and-cream formalwear, head-to-toe looks in shades of tan and a commanding and confident executive group in grey.

The combination of three-piece silk-gabardine suits with wide peak lapels makes a bold, sophisticated statement.

A new silk jacquard pant and a vibrant yellow pant, worn with classic navy and cream, express a refined exuberance found throughout the season.

Navy carries through more of the sportswear looks, brightened with flashes of yellow, orange and green. Inspired by the chic Italian coast, an elevated fusion of luxury and technical activewear results in a new nylon trouser and washed indigo cashmere jogger.
Striking outerwear includes a navy woven leather jacket and a black-and-orange hooded rain jacket fashioned from seam-sealed plongé leather.

Performance-driven fabrications and a strong palette of black hit with neon yellow and bright green speak to ultramodern urban style. Nylon continues to be an important element of the collection, with leather giving a luxe touch, from a black nylon jumpsuit to a perforated leather jacket in black and yellow.

A “hybrid” zip-mock sweater is made from merino and bonded leather. Moto detailing found on jeans and jackets, along with a new stretch mesh shirt with racing stripe down the arm and novel RL logo, typify the sleek, innovative luxury of the line that extends to the very highest level with a black denim tuxedo.

Z Zegna Autumn/Winter 2014 At Milan Fashion Week

Titled the Quintessential Modernist, the collection blended informal modernism with an interpretation of the 60’s mod look.

Silhouettes were sleek and snug with slim cut suits (both single and double breasted jackets); fitted shirts with tie bars.

Mock knitwear in colour block stripes (crew and turtle neck).

Updating the look, trousers are cropped with a wide band turn up and sleeve garters are worn.

Smart coats were roomy and boxy with soft sloping shoulders.

The mood is graphic with suits in grid patterns, pinstripes, chalk stripes and wide coloured panels.

Pops of mustard, burgundy and blue were added to the predominantly sober colour palette of smoky grey, navy blue and acorn brown.

This graphic design softens on a mohair tartan overcoat.

Accessories included chunky rubber soled monk shoes with hand perforated tips and contrasts of hammered and brushed calfskins.

Work and weekend bags are fashioned from macro-grain calfskin, brushed leathers and felted wools.
