Dans la Vie SS18 - Genderless Mode at London Fashion Week

This season's collection aims to abolish gender lines in fashion.
Dans La Vie's Rira Sugawara uses male models for the first time to showcase these unisex designs.

The pieces take on a sports luxe aesthetic with easy wearing garments such as t-shirts, leggings, denim and knee high socks.

Basic colour palette: beige, red, green and black.
Patterns include camouflage and checker.

Sean Suen SS16 Menswear at London Collections: Men

Presented by GQ China, this was Sean Suen's first show on the international stage.

For his SS16 collection, he drew his inspiration from his own journey to the West.

The collection is a myriad of cultures and exotic locations experienced through his travels. It serves as an assortment of defining moments in which Sean's Chinese heritage and identity meets the new alien experiences of the West.

The masculinity and structure of the European suit is paired with the elegance of the Chinese robe.

The structure of the suit is loosened by the fluidity of fine Chinese silks.

The collection uses the form and structure of the West to contain the movement and rhythm of the East.

Titled Veneered Innocence
Inspiration for the SS16 collection came from the 1950's - an era that appeared to be on its best behaviour yet, beneath the well-mannered surface, seethed something subversive and rebellious. These compelling conflicts gave rise to a new breed: the teenager.

Katie's muse is the young Elvis Presley- wholesome and smiling in a sugar pink bowling shirt, humbly nodding 'Yes ma'am' and 'No sir', yet shocking the world with his potent and threatening sexuality. He encapsulates the 50's veneer of innocence, polite and deferential but beneath his polished surface he is an an intoxicating and dangerous mixture of masculine insolence and charismatic defiance.

The SS16 collection channels such contradictions with pastel shade shirts and dusty ombre trousers in pea greens, aubergine, aquas and oranges with dulled out beiges, pinks and teals.

Prints subvert innocence taking the iconic My Little Pony and debasing it with sinister and sexual overtones.

Trompe l'oeil appears as beat up denim and heavy knit print onto fine gauge knitwear.

Fabrics are selected to represent the glossy sheen of childish plastic toys: heavy and light weight satins, silks, poly blends, suedes, leather and gold hardware.

ACNE STUDIOS SS16 MENSWEAR AT MEN'S PARIS FASHION WEEK‏

Inspired by the rawness of the New York Dolls unisex approach to dressing in 70’s New York and Robin Kegel’s surfboard art.

Tailored pants are loose fitting, their superfine wool almost transparent. They also come in vivid blue and red, worn with contrasting long ribbed cashmere knits.Belts are like oversized shoelaces made in leather. Velvet tanks have been laser cut as if perforated.

Fabrics: lightweight tailoring wools, treated cotton and linen, woven jersey, crepe and silk poplin.

Colour palette: greys and browns with pops of primary red, blue and green.

Abstract graphics surfboard art by Robin Kegel are printed on loose fit jumpsuits in poplin silk. They also appear on cashmere sweaters that have be purposefully pilled. 

Platform boots come in leather or suede with a cork sole, 

Blazers have utilitarian patch pockets as does a long linen workers coat, while a short sleeve jacket and wide pants in apricot in Punto Milano fabric have a functional feel.

Zip ups come in tailoring wool or velvet,
