Transitions Lenses Collaborates with Tom Davies Eyewear

Whatever the season , a pair of sunglasses is the accessory to wear when the sun is shining. Alas sometimes we forget to take them out when the weather is cold and then get caught out by the glaring sun.
But for those of us with less than 20:20 vision Transitions Lenses will make sure that's a thing of the past.
Their prescription lenses adapt to sunlight, turning from clear glass indoors, to sunglass lenses in damaging sunlight, blocking out 100% of harmful rays

And the great advantage is that you don't have to sacrifice on style as they partner with several of the most well regarded frame makers throughout Europe to provide the most luxurious of designs including bespoke frames from British designer TomDavies

After launching his couture collection for the ‘rich and famous’ and creating a Ready-to-Wear line, Tom Davies has revolutionised the eyewear world. Customers choose their preferred frame from the existing collection and then can choose colour and materials. The frame is redesigned based on the customer’s face and head measurements, face shape, skin and hair tones, personal style and vision needs. Each frame is handcrafted and discreetly laser engraved with the customer’s name on the inside arem.
From frames in acetate and titanium to eco-friendly and hypoallergenic buffalo horn, all Tom Davies collections feature high quality materials and multiple colour combinations.

Kirk Originals are Beaming with Delight over their new Eyewear Collection

To celebrate their 20th anniversary this year, eyewear brand Kirk Originals have created BEAM, a brand new collection made entirely of acrylic. Acrylic is not a new material for Kirk Originals as they have been making acrylic temples for their past collections since the late 1990s, but this is the first collection with acrylic fronts.

Blaze in Amethyst

The frames are gloriously oversized with soft lines and curves, but with all Kirk frames it’s the fun colours that create the biggest impact. For the Beam collection, Kirk has used a new process of colour marriage which allows the bright translucent hues to merge and separate in tones of fluorescent orange, pink, yellow and aqua, and so making each frame unique with its own colour identity.

Ray in Amber

6 styles: Ray, Flare, Blaze, Gemma. Vega and Miranda
5 colours:  Amber, coral, aquamarine, amethyst and emerald
RRP: 325 Euros

Calling All Londoners! Eyewear brand m.kenics NEEDS YOU to model their new glasses

New to the UK, eyewear brand m.kenics would like to show off their glasses against the iconic London landmarks with you dear readers modelling them. All they ask is that you don’t mind having your photos taken and the said photos will be used as future promo material around the world!
Plus you get to keep the actual glasses you model!

m.kenics frames are not welded and have no screws, they are all designed and engineered to slot and fit together. High end materials of titanium and acetate are sourced in Japan where the frames are hand finished.  The acetate frames come in a variety of colours with different finishes including glossy, translucent and frosted.
The frames are flexible and super light with the lightest weighing in at just 5g, this makes them really comfortable to wear. But it’s the clever swivel nose pad that is m.kenics USP – self adjusting so the frames fit any nose shape easily with minimal adjustment.
RRP is from £165 and they are now exclusively available from Orb Opticians London

So if you fancy a free pair of glasses and having your photo taken then just email Siu at siu@eyeternity.co.uk with your mobile or email address and a recent photo.
Keep your photo look quite natural as they are looking for an everyday style to represent the face of m.kenics.
Once they have chosen the people with the right everyday look, they will contact you directly.
The photo shoots will take place within the next two weeks.

If you’re looking for quirky and stylish eyewear to set you apart from the crowd then Kirk Originals Flagship store at  6 Conduit Street, W1S 1XE, is the place to go.  All frames are handmade and hand painted in France and designed by Jason and Karen Kirk who have fun creating the retro geek look with a twist.

Here the use of acetate front and acrylic arms enables Kirk to develop exciting bold and bright colours. Using contrasting colours for the transparent front and arms, these designs are loved by DJ’s as the colours catch the lights, loved by the French and Italians as the sunshine brings out the colours and glitter.
Also check out the amazing 3D effect as a quilted pattern on the interior of the temple arms shows through.
