Gant Rugger SS13 Campaign - Team Americano

For Spring/Summer 2013, GANT Rugger enlists the help of a group of American guys living in New York who are all intimately connected to the fashion industry in one way or another.

Celebrating the cultural phenomenon of fashion blogging the group, named Team Americano, consists of six young men; prominent media figures, Sean Hotchkiss, Zeph Colombatto, Gabe Alonso, Noah Emrich, Lawrence Schlossman, and Justin Chung.

They journey to Italy to fuse the classic American silhouettes with Italian finesse. Each member of the group embraces the collection in his own unique way highlighting the collections' malleable aesthetic.

Some items already available on:

Continuing with this theme Creative Director, Christopher Bastin and his team have created the 'GANT Rugger Relay' - http://www.gant.com/collections/gant-rugger/relay
Starting with Christopher, each member of the 'relay' chooses their favourite GANT Rugger pieces, gets shot in them, answers a few questions and then picks the next person to take part. The great thing about this is there is no control and anyone around the world (male or female) can be chosen to take part next which makes for an exciting and unpredicatable experiment encompassing some very cool and interesting individuals.

Nico Didonna SS13 Collection

For his SS13 collection, Nico took inspiration from the dedication, passion and inner beliefs of monks.

This was more noticeable in the brown floor skimming wide palazzo pants with a beaded belt hanging like a string of rosaries and coral hooded sweat – more of your urban street wise monk.

Others were less noticeable with tailored knee length shorts in blue and coral and coloured chinos.
Love how the placket on the white shirt worn with the blue shorts mimics the shape of a tie.

More unusual trouser designs were the swirl camouflage patterned pants ruched at the sides in mouth watering toffee shades and the baroque print trousers worn with a pearlised cream leather jacket.

Taking us to the Renaissance era was an elegant black suit with pantaloon style trousers fitting tightly on the lower leg

A more subtle look came from another  black suit with added splashes of orange from the button hole stitching and under the pocket flaps. Plus check out the bottom of the trousers and you’ll see an inside zip. This suit exudes the quiet confidence of style. The crisp white shirt is given flair with a dark pin stripe placket and cuffs with Nico staying away from the usual contrasting collar style.

There was a touch of the disco 80s with a metallic grey fitted boiler suit accessorised with an orange scarf.

We were pleasantly surprised to see GB canoeist Tom Brady modelling and for his first appearance dressed in a one off Union Jack biker style jacket, white tee and blue chinos. And yes that was also  him in the orange chinos and brown leather jacket.
