Dolce&Gabbana Men's AW15 Collection at Milan Fashion Week

The inspiration behind this collection is clear for all to see. 'No matter how, no matter when, no matter with who, no matter where, Family is what matters the most in everyone’s life.'

Black and white family photos and even cartoon images in leather of the families graced the front of  t-shirts and sweatshirts.

These families were also present at the show, posing regally on the stage as the perfect background Can you spot the family on the above sweatshirts?

Gold embroidered Queen Bee appliques adorned suits and  plush velvet varsity jackets.

Whilst two adorned this richly brocaded silk sweatshirt which also had the image of Madonna and child wearing  embroidered crowns.

The love of the family was the name of the game on most of the varsity jackets.

For evening wear, three piece suits were opulent in luxurious silk brocade.

This opulence carried on to bedtime with silk pyjamas and dressing gowns fit for a King trimmed with velvet and adorned with a print of many crowns..

Leo Messi And Dolce & Gabbana: An Assist in Style

Since 2010 Leo Messi has been dressed by Dolce & Gabbana. And now the designers have created a dedicated website to discover the latest news and unique style of the Argentine footballer: www.dolcegabbanc.com/leo-messi/

“I would like to thank Dolce&Gabbana for having made this collaboration possible. I have always had a preference for their sartorial style and I have always loved the sophisticated image they project.”
Leo Messi

Dolce&Gabbana has always had a privileged relationship with the sporting world and has contributed in transforming football players into so much more than mere on-pitch idols: they have made them into the style icons.

In 2012 Leo Messi won, for the fourth time consecutively, the FIFA Golden Ball, becoming the only player in history to have achieved this feat. For the historic occasion Messi wore Dolce&Gabbana.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana created a one-button black silk tuxedo with white polka dots and black satin lapels, especially for him. A classic tailored vest made of black wool with 4 buttons and a white shirt completed the look.

Recently, Leo Messi was shot by Domenico Dolce in Dolce&Gabbana’s signature elegant look with classic tailoring. A collaboration that expertly blends sport and fashion.

Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2013

Titled “DEVOTION”, the theme was not just absolute devotion to all things tailoring: cut, fabrics and details, but also devotion to family, to (Catholic) religion and devotion to love.
Fabric for the evening was the luxurious velvet in 3 piece suits and shoes. Elegant in a black and grey palette. Burgundy did bring a splash of colour for one velvet suit with black lapels and pocket flaps.

The Italian classics made way for the Italian flair as colours became brighter and jackets and tops adorned with large floral prints. High waisted trousers kept in the sombre black.

Baggy silk t-shirts were heavily bejeweled, embroidered and adorned with Catholic religious icons.

Religious icons (especially of The Madonna )  were also printed on cotton t-shirts and thin sweatshirts.

The style of the these gave the young models an almost 'altar boy' appearance as the loose wide crew neckline and wide open short sleeves are reminiscent of the altar boy smock.
