H&M latest Collaboration is with Kenzo

H&M is proud to announce that the next designer collaboration will be with KENZO, the vibrant and playful Parisian house that captures the energy of global culture to create its unique, youthful spirit.


Creative Directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon will bring the spirit of KENZO to H&M, creating collections for women and men as well as accessories. KENZO x H&M will be available in over 250 selected H&M stores worldwide, as well as online, from November 3, 2016.

Balmain and H&M call for #HMBalmaination‏

H&M announced its autumn guest collaboration with the Parisian house of Balmain. A veritable bastion of French luxury, under the creative directorship of young Olivier Rousteing,

Balmain has grown into a global pop-culture phenomenon. Rousteing himself and his friends Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn, walked the red carpet at The Billboard Music Awards revealing the first pieces of the collection.

"I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain, get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fueled on a hashtag. The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it," says Olivier Rousteing.

“We are excited to have Balmain as our guest designer at H&M and create a truly involving experience for everybody. With its mix of couture spirit and streetwear attitude, Balmain owns a unique style, at once opulent and direct, sensual and energetic. It is also closely linked to the show business and music worlds, which adds another element of surprise,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga to Star in H&M Holiday Campaign This Winter



The two superstars will both appear in the commercial, performing a track from their album Cheek to Cheek, which will be released on September 23rd. The upcoming album is a collaboration between these two generation-spanning artists in celebration of jazz music. The campaign will make its global TV debut end of November, with an extended version of the commercial available at www.hm.com


The campaign also includes ads featuring Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, which will appear in print media, online as well as outdoor.

David Beckham and H&M celebrate the launch of debut swimwear collection in London

David Beckham hosted an exclusive rooftop pool party to mark the launch of his debut swimwear collection for H&M. The David Beckham For H&M Swimwear private launch took place at Shoreditch House on May 14, 2014 in London.

Guests including Ellie Goulding, One Direction’s Liam Payne and Niall Horan and Aaron Paul soaked up the luxe party atmosphere in East London.

Since the launch of the first David Beckham Bodywear for H&M collection in 2012, the range has been designed each season with new styles, fabrics and patterns, so the addition of both stylish and functional swimwear is a natural progression.

As with all previous ranges, the focus of the swimwear collection is on fit, performance, and comfort and offers a fresh update on classic masculine style. The new range of boardshorts, swim shorts and trunks will launch in selected stores and online from Thursday 22nd May, 2014.

David Beckham - New campaign video for the spring collection of David Beckham Bodywear at H&M.


David Beckham will star in a new campaign to launch the spring collection of David Beckham Bodywear at H&M. Shot by director Nicolas Winding Refn, known for his movies Drive and Only God Forgives, the campaign will debut during the US Super Bowl on February 2nd 2014.

 

In the action-packed plot, David is locked out of a photo shoot on a rooftop in just his underwear, with no way down.  He has to go to any length to get to safety, performing all his own stunts in the process. David has filmed two alternative versions, which will be put to a vote on hm.com to find the people’s favourite, voting starts January 27th.
“It was so exciting to work with one of my favourite directors, Nicolas Winding Refn, on my new campaign for H&M. Nicolas pushed me hard to create an action-packed film, which shows off this season’s new heritage-inspired bodywear at its best,” says David Beckham.
“I loved working with David for his new campaign. He is a natural in front of the camera, and was fearless when performing his own stunts. The campaign is funny, smart and spectacular, and shows the many different sides of David’s personality,” says Nicolas Winding Refn.
The campaign features pieces from the Spring David Beckham Bodywear collection, which sees a fresh take on heritage. Stripes of varying width are introduced on long-sleeve Henleys, vests and trunks, as well as varsity style lettering on the back of long-sleeve raglan tops. Also debuting will be David Beckham Bodywear pieces for kids. A mini-me collection for boys with Henley’s, vests, trunks, long johns and pyjama shorts. The collections will be available in selected H&M stores and online from January 30.
These new pieces join the core David Beckham Bodywear collection, which has already become a staple in the wardrobes of men worldwide since its launch in February 2012.

On Yer Bike! H&M for Brick Lane Bikes Men's Capsule Collection


The new H&M’s capsule men’s collection for Brick Lane Bikes will soon be available – in fact as from 7th March in approx 180 stores worldwide and online www.hm.com
Here’s a sneak peek:

This Rider Jacket can be worn as a backpack!  The jacket is made from water repellent and breathable material, with ventilation holes under the sleeves and taped seams. The jacket is cut longer at the back, with a back pocket and straps inside the jacket to transform it into a backpack. Worn here with a crewneck top which has a top zip and ventilation holes. The sleeves are cut for extra mobility.

The above image shows the jacket as a backpack. Worn here with a check shirt which has reinforced patches on the lower sleeves for when leaning on the handle bars.

Quilted shirts layered over cotton shirts for  the colder days .Riders trousers similar to the chino are cut for slightly bended knees, have a reinforced crotch and reflective tape seams on the inside leg which are visible when rolled up for extra safety.

For the vintage cycling look there are colour stripe Henleys in either cotton or merino wool, both cut longer at the back.
Fabrics used are organic cotton, recycled polyester and recycled wool .

The collection consists of 11pieces which have been designed by H&M and tested and approved by Brick Lane Bikes, one of the world’s leading custom-bike specialists.

New H&M Collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela

Thurs 15 Nov, is the launch date of the new H&M designer collaboration with French fashion house Maison Martin Margiela.The model in the below image is leaping with joy at the news!

New York party for H&M x Maison Martin Margiela collaboration

Kanye West, Alan Cumming and Chase Crawford were among the guests at a party in New York to celebrate H&M’s collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela.

The unique event was held across many floors of 5 Beekman Street, a historical building in the city’s financial district. Guests were able to discover the collection in dance performances by noted choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and through specially commissioned art installations, before DJ’s kept the party going into the early hours.

“I’m here to see the lovely Margiela collection. I love the way H&M is doing collaborations with other designers. It’s a great thing, to make clothes stylish and affordable. The collaborations are a great idea, they are really amazing!” says Alan Cumming.

Actor Joel Kinnaman Models H&M Mens Fashion this Autumn


Actor Joel Kinnaman models H&M’s men’s fashion this autumn.

In addition to playing the lead in the remake of “RoboCop,” actor Joel Kinnaman will also be showing off H&M’s menswear this autumnl. Joel, who made his international breakthrough in his role in the US remake of “The Killing,” will appear in an autumn campaign filmed by famed video director Jonas Åkerlund. 

In the campaign, Joel wears a series of key pieces from H&M’s fall collection, including a green varsity jacket layered over a navy crewneck and denim shirt. 
The collection also features cardigans, corduroy pants, an updated version of the classic slim overcoat in navy, and a gray single-breasted suit. The commercial will be available for viewing in its entirety on www.hm.com beginning 5 October, with edited versions used as a TV campaign.

Their men’s collection always gives me a choice of how I want to dress, whether it be sharp in a suit and polo-neck, or more relaxed in jeans and a tweed jacket.
